Editorial Policy

How we research, write and rank gaming laptops — in plain English.

1. Research first

Every review starts from verified manufacturer specifications and live UK retailer listings (Scan, Overclockers UK, Currys, Lenovo UK, HP Store UK and others). Where a retailer does not state a specification, we say so — we never fill gaps from memory or guess.

2. No invented numbers

We do not publish benchmark scores, FPS figures or review ratings we have not measured ourselves. Prices are quoted as typical UK ranges seen on the research date; live prices change, so every review links to the current Amazon UK listing with our Associates tag (uktech20-21).

3. Trade-offs, always

Every laptop has downsides — weight, fan noise, battery life, soldered RAM. Our reviews list genuine cons next to the pros. A review with no criticisms is a press release, not a review.

4. Affiliate-funded, reader-first

We earn a commission when readers buy through our Amazon UK links, at no extra cost to the reader. Commissions never determine rankings or recommendations. We link to retailers for verification whether or not they pay us.

5. UK English, UK context

All content is written for UK buyers: prices in pounds sterling, UK retailers, UK warranty and consumer-rights law (Consumer Rights Act 2015).

6. Corrections

Specifications change and mistakes happen. If you spot an error, contact us and we will verify and correct it.
